The Client Journey

What Working With Us Actually Looks Like, Week by Week.

Retained search has a reputation for black boxes and radio silence. This page is the opposite: the whole relationship, from the first call to years after your leader starts.

The Journey, Stage by Stage.

Real timelines, not sales timelines. Here is what each stage feels like from your side of the table.

Day 1

The First Conversation

Fifteen minutes with Zach Nold about your role, your business, and your timeline. You leave with clarity either way: an honest read on whether this search fits, what it would cost, and how long it should realistically take.

Week 1

Discovery & Success Outcomes

We define 3 to 5 measurable outcomes for the role and align every stakeholder on what success looks like, before a single profile gets reviewed. Misalignment found in week one is cheap. Found at the offer stage, it is expensive.

Weeks 1–2

Market Map & First Slate

Your market gets mapped completely: target companies, adjacent industries, and the people in seat today. The first interview-ready slate reaches your calendar while other firms are still writing the job description.

Weeks 2–8

Interviews & Deepening Slates

You interview while we keep working. Each slate is stronger than the last as passive leaders come into the conversation. Weekly updates on outreach, response, and pipeline, so you always know exactly where the search stands.

Offer

Close, Negotiation & Resignation

We manage the offer, the counteroffer risk, and the resignation, the three places searches die at the finish line. References run deep because the relationships do. The decision stays with you at every step.

Days 1–90

Landing & Integration

The work continues past the start date. We stay close through the first 90 days, checking in with both sides, because a placement is proven in the seat, never at the signature.

Years After

The Long Relationship

Clients come back because the placements stay and grow. Many of our searches begin with a call from someone we placed years earlier, now building a team of their own. That is the journey working as designed.

You Will Always Know Where Your Search Stands.

Weekly updates with real numbers: who was contacted, who responded, who advanced, and what happens next. A retained search should never go quiet on the person paying for it.
